This certificate program is designed to include introduction to a standard coaching model, Government coaching resources and tools, professional resources, and subjects relevant to Government coaching by a uniquely qualified AcademyGMC faculty.

The certificate features mini-discussions and presentations, coaching exercises, case studies, and small group exercises, and most of all learning with experienced Government coaches who are currently working in the federal sector or former Federal Government coaches.

It is based on Federal Government strategies and tools for public service career development. Additionally, the CGC class covers the eight ICF core coaching competencies, required coaching behaviors, and introduction to common coaching models. The course is in English.

Course Manager: Dorisse Shakir-Ullah, ACC

Dorisse is the owner of Career ForwardCoaching. She retired in 2022 after 41 years of service as a senior leader and hiring manager with the FBI. She held many professional roles from entry level to supervisor and coach during her illustrious career. She has an extensive HR background in the federal hiring process. Dorisse serves as a volunteer coach non-profit organizations such as the Veterans Coaching Project and Coaching Collaborative. She served as part of the DOJ Network and Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) leadership development program. She's a graduate of the Federal Internal Coach Training Program, certified in MIPI assessments, and a certified facilitator for the Caregiver Thrive, Learn, Connect program.
