Survey data from 420 IT and security professionals highlights persistent visibility gaps, with 55% reporting employees adopt SaaS applications without security involvement. Identity management remains problematic, with 58% struggling to enforce proper privilege management and 46% citing challenges monitoring non-human identities. The expanding attack surface through GenAI tools and SaaS-to-SaaS integrations presents new vulnerabilities, with 56% of organizations concerned about overprivileged API access to sensitive data.
