Her career spans organizations of all sizes-from startups to large enterprises-allowing her to blend big-company structure with small-business agility. Kathy has extensive experience with various contract vehicles, including cost-reimbursable and fixed-price agreements, and has negotiated a wide array of supporting documents such as NDAs, teaming arrangements, subcontracts, and joint venture agreements.

 

Kathy holds a degree from Old Dominion University and is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM). Her educational background complements her extensive practical experience, enabling her to navigate complex contracting landscapes effectively. At BOOST, Kathy is recognized for her process-driven approach and deep understanding of both the buyer and seller perspectives in contracting. She excels in guiding clients through complex negotiations and compliance challenges, ensuring that contractual strategies align with business objectives. Her contributions have been instrumental in helping GovCon clients navigate the intricacies of government procurement, making her a valuable asset to any process improvement team.

 

Katherine Fredlund

Katherine Fredlund is a seasoned financial and contracts executive with extensive experience in government contracting, accounting, and business operations. Her expertise spans budgeting, forecasting, proposal pricing, policy development, and audit management. Katherine collaborates closely with executive leadership to drive strategic financial planning, ensure regulatory adherence, and optimize operational efficiency, supporting organizational growth and sustainability.

 

With a career spanning over a decade, Katherine has held key leadership roles in financial management, contracts administration, and business operations. Prior to her current role, she served as a Director of Finance and Controller and Contracts Manager, where she ensured compliance with FAR, CAS, and DCAA regulations, and led cross-functional teams in HR, finance, and contracting. Her background also includes financial leadership in both government and private sectors, with a strong foundation in operational excellence, compliance, and process improvement. A dedicated leader and mentor, Katherine combines her deep financial expertise with strategic vision to drive efficiency and long-term success.

 

Bernita Tardieu

Bernita Tardieu, Director of Contracts, Procurement, and Pricing at BOOST, brings over a decade of expertise in legal and strategic contracting within the government and commercial sectors. Her extensive experience encompasses leading contract and procurement activities with the U.S. Government, international governments, and both domestic and international commercial entities. Bernita's proficiency includes full life-cycle contract and procurement management, joint venture creation and management, mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration, as well as licensing and intellectual property protection agreements. Her strategic approach to contracting emphasizes building trust, reducing risk, and fostering profitable partnerships.

 

Bernita earned her Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Philosophy from Williams College. Her comprehensive understanding of both legal frameworks and business operations makes her an invaluable asset in navigating complex contracting landscapes.
