6th Digital Forensics for National Security Symposium
DSI’s 6th Annual Digital Forensics for National Security Symposium will provide a forum for the DoD, federal government, intelligence agencies, industry, and academia to discuss how digital forensics tools and technologies are supporting their efforts to identify, detect, investigate, prevent, and bring justice to increasingly sophisticated criminal activities.
In 2024, cybercrime inflicted a staggering cost exceeding $350 Billion on the United States. As digital vulnerabilities continue to escalate, federal agencies have recognized digital forensics as paramount to both defending against and prosecuting cybercrime, as well as crimes with digital components. The increasing reliance on computers and digital devices has made digital evidence crucial for solving crimes and legal disputes. Digital forensics investigators meticulously analyze digital evidence to understand the intricacies of cyberattacks, implement proactive measures to mitigate future vulnerabilities, and ensure successful prosecution of cybercriminals.
With an anticipated 15% surge in cybercrime and an increasingly interconnected digital world, the significance of digital forensics cannot be overstated. This year’s summit will emphasize the critical need to bolster digital forensic techniques and methodologies to effectively combat the ever-evolving landscape of both physical and cybercrime. Attendees will gain invaluable insights from leading experts in the field of digital forensics, underscoring its vital role in achieving a more just and secure America. Key discussions will encompass a wide range of topics, including the utilization of cutting-edge digital forensic devices at crime scenes, the efficient extraction of crucial evidence, and the strategic deployment of digital forensics to effectively combat cybercrime.
Join us at our 6th Annual Digital Forensics for National Security Symposium to contribute to advancing digital forensic tools and methods. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of, meet with, and engage with leaders across DoD, federal government, law enforcement, academia, and industry to learn about the future of digital forensics. DSI’s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Symposiums’ content and focus areas, and we will assemble the most respected minds in digital forensics and cyber-crime as well as key policy makers across military and civilian offices. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a holistic group of decision-makers and solution providers.
