Implementing Practical Security for Data Centers and Clouds
Breakfast Briefing in Washington D.C.
If you are tasked with securing government networks, data centers, or cloud infrastructures and are concerned about the impact of security on performance, resilience, or manageability this breakfast briefing is for you.
Join us for this briefing and you will:
- Learn about a breakthrough in security policy management that eliminates the complexity and performance tradeoffs of data security
- Learn how to turn any cloud infrastructure into a secure extension of your data center
- Learn how to securely migrate your data center to the cloud
- See a live demonstration of this FIPS140-2 validated and Common Criteria certified solution
The Challenge
Many government organizations and integrators are looking for ways to secure data centersand network infrastructures in order to meet security regulations and mission requirements without interrupting network performance and reliability.
In the past the tradeoffs between security and performance have been difficult to balance at best. However, with new mandates to adopt cost effective cloud based infrastructures, the security challenge has become even greater. Not only do these mandates present new security challenges, but they also create the need for solutions that support the current infrastructure, cloud based infrastructures, and the transition from one to the other.
At a time when cyber security gets mentioned in the State of the Union address, all eyes are on the teams charged with implementing security, with the expectation that stringent measures will be taken to ensure security without impacting network performance or the quality of VoIP and video.
Practical Security for Modern Infrastructures
While the methods to secure data are well understood and effective, the methods of implementing and managing them are ill suited for modern networks and data centers. There is also a great deal of confusion about the differences between privacy and security -confusion that ultimately may lead to massive data breaches and security compromises.
This Breakfast Briefing will cover the following topics:
- The important differences between “virtual privacy” and actual security
- Why traditional network security does not work on modern networks
- The security issues organizations face when using clouds (public, hybrid, and private IaaS)
- The latest breakthrough in policy and key management that allows for transparent, easy to manage network and cloud security
- Likely usage of cloud infrastructures and security implications
- A live demonstration
