As the state’s largest tax collection agency, EDD audits and collects payroll taxes and maintains records for over 17 million workers. With a total budget of $9.5 billion, including an IT budget of $355 million, EDD operates with nearly 10,000 employees across hundreds of locations. For over 70 years, EDD has played a vital role in supporting California’s economy by connecting job seekers and employers.
