32nd Annual Collaboration on Quality in the Space and Defense Industries Forum (CQSDI)

Join us for the 32nd annual ASQ Collaboration on Quality in the Space and Defense Industries Forum (CQSDI) on March 11-12, 2025, at the Radisson at the Port in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The ASQ Aviation, Space and Defense Division is excited to share an upcoming event that is of interest to a broad range of quality and engineering professionals.

The theme for the 2025 CQSDI event is Building and sustaining resilience in Quality … Navigating the workforce, customer experience, supply chain, and critical skills needed. Consistent with previous events, CQSDI attendees will enjoy featured senior level speakers, panel sessions, and concurrent interactive workshops over the two days with an additional day of NASA content at the Quality Leadership Forum. This event will feature speakers from DCMA, MDA, NASA, Commercial Space providers and Commercial Aerospace companies.

Our panel topics include:

• Quality Control to Quality Assurance with approaches to sustaining Quality and Staying Proactive in a Reactive Environment
• What organizations are doing to retain/grow the quality workforce to achieve quality objectives/requirements
• A discussion of industry best practices/lessons-learned from actions to results to address early involvement of Quality
• Balancing the Digital Evolution with Touch Labor regarding on-site staffing challenges with desire/requirement to work remotely

We also have workshops scheduled addressing:

• How to Align Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) with Your Organization’s Quality Management System (QMS)
• An interactive Quality problem solving-hands-on workshop where we address how members external to quality are addressing corrective actions
• An interactive Young Quality Professionals (YQP) Workshop where we will cover YQP initial experiences in Quality, their current position, and what their future career is in Quality (or why not in Quality)
• Demonstration of visual tools to navigate key elements of project quality
• Quality Culture workshop.

The CQSDI will immediately be followed by the NASA Quality Leadership Forum on Thursday March 13th in Cape Canaveral Florida.
