IT Service Management and DOD: A 2013 Front Line Perspective
As the nation faces the reduction of expenses across the Department of Defense (DoD) coupled with the need to maintain and enhance our national security, IT Service Management (ITSM) plays an essential role. Many organizations within the DoD have adopted ITSM best practices to improve existing services and for the deployment of new services which are depended on by millions of war fighters, civilians, and other stakeholders.
This ITSM and DoD panel will discuss the forecast of ITSM across the DoD and would be of interest for anyone involved with, impacted by or interested in improving the delivery of IT services. Come to this session to find information about the various DoD IT programs: where they are going, and what they plan to focus on over the upcoming year.
This highly interactive panel will include leaders in ITSM programs from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines Corp, and other components. These leaders represent some of the largest, long-term and most challenging ITSM efforts undertaken by the federal government. This discussion of approaches, challenges, techniques and lessons learned is applicable to any IT leader, business executive, supplier, or stakeholder.
