Tim Vorderstrasse is a licensed U.S. Customs broker with extensive expertise in duty drawback and a strong focus on leveraging technology to optimize the processing of data and drawback claims. He joined Flexport in October 2019, bringing a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to the company. Prior to his role at Flexport, Tim served as a leading duty drawback account manager and diverse subject matter expert at a drawback-dedicated service provider.
Tim actively participates in local and national trade associations as a thought leader in the drawback space, contributing his insights and expertise to advance industry practices. His influence extends beyond professional circles, as he played a role in shaping current drawback regulations. He is a member of the Trade Support Network and serves on the Drawback Task Force under the Export Modernization Working Group of the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC). In this capacity, he works directly with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to discuss critical customs and drawback-related topics, policy issues, and technological advancements.
