The Honorable Sean O'Keefe is the chairman of the board and CEO of EADS North America, the U.S. subsidiary of the global aerospace, space and defense conglomerate. In 2011, O'Keefe was appointed as chairman of the National Defense Industrial Association, America's leading industry association promoting the defense industry and national security. In this capacity, O'Keefe testified before the House Armed Services Committee on the impact of sequestration on the U.S. aerospace and defense industry.

In addition to his private sector career, O'Keefe has served four times as a presidential appointee. Most recently, he served as the 10th administrator of NASA from 2001 to 2005. Prior to his appointment as NASA administrator, he served as deputy assistant to the president and deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget under President George W. Bush. O'Keefe also served President George H. W. Bush as the 69th secretary of the Navy in 1992-93 and previously as comptroller and CFO of the Department of Defense.
