Debriefings in Federal Procurement: Key Rules and Strategies

For contractors, a debriefing is key to judging whether the evaluation process was fairly conducted, and if there is grounds for a bid protest. Debriefings convey the basis of the agency’s evaluation and selection decision and assist offerors in improving future proposals. This 90-minute webinar will provide a primer on debriefings in Federal Procurement. More than a general overview, subject matter experts will identify “best practices” and provide helpful questions and answers that government contractor personnel might consider raising in debriefings.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the principal objectives for a contractor in a debriefing such as areas for improvement in future procurements.
  • Recognize the difference between Discretionary Debriefings and Required Debriefings.
  • Become familiar with factors the agencies consider in deciding whether to decline corporate prosecutions, including voluntary disclosure, cooperation in government investigations, and improvement of compliance programs;
  • Understand the timing and content of a Pre-Award vs. Post-Award Debriefing.
  • Gain insight through frequently asked questions and learn best practices.
  • And much, much more!
