Transform IRS Operations With Red Hat OpenShift AI

Red Hat hosted a workshop on Thursday, June 27 discussing how Red Hat OpenShift AI can help data science cross-functional teams speed up the delivery of AI-powered applications and simplify the iterative process of integrating ML models and continued redeployment for prediction accuracy to quickly deliver AI insights to mission apps.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is adopting AI/ML to enhance their mission capabilities, though the degree of adoption varies among teams. Common challenges include:

  • Complexities and time needed for iterative cycles to train, test, select and retrain the ML model for optimal prediction accuracy
  • Need for collaboration among cross-functional teams to refine workflows, processes and share tools and best practices
  • Repeated dependency on IT operations for provisioning and managing infrastructure to support experimentation and scaling
