2024 Public Safety Update

Join presenters from ICMA Corporate Partner, Center for Public Safety Management, as they discuss the current state of public safety in the US.

Over the last few years, many jurisdictions across the United States have struggled with increases in violent crime, or the perception of such from their residents. This challenge has prompted the Department of Justice to develop a violent crime reduction roadmap to assist these communities with their public safety concerns. In addition, many incidents of violence have intersected with mental health issues.

Now comes an important question – are you violating the ADA?

In this webinar, you'll join presenters from the Center for Public Safety Management, ICMA Corporate Partner, as they discuss the DOJ's roadmap and provide tips for managing other pressing public safety concerns affecting the nation.

What we will cover:

  • When it comes to mental health responses, are you violating the ADA?
  • Where is the money for funding different approaches?
  • How and with whom shall we engage on our team?
  • What types of data should we be using?
