Evan Halperin Sr. Analyst, Justice/Public Safety & Homeland Security Evan Halperin, analyst, State and Local Opportunities, identifies upcoming opportunities in various states and localities, as well as tracks ongoing and past state contracts, specifically focused on the Justice/Public Safety market. Prior to joining Deltek, Halperin attended Middlesex University in London, England. Halperin�s thesis was entitled �Terrorist Recruitment: History of Madrassahs, the Internet and the University Dilemma.� While residing in London, England, Halperin volunteered at the Amnesty International Secretariat as part of the Global Donor Project, which included conducting research for new donor candidates. Halperin holds a master's degree in international Relations from Middlesex University in London, England, and a bachelor's degree in international relations, concentration in conflict and peace studies, from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa. Derek Johnson Analyst, General Government Services Derek Johnson is an analyst in the General Government Services division of Deltek's State and Local Government team. He is responsible for creating and maintaining content within the General Government Services Opportunities and Government Profile databases. Mr. Johnson conducts in-depth research and analysis of the IT procurement market and supports the Sales and Member Services teams through member requests, product demonstrations and training sessions. Prior to joining Deltek, he worked as a reporter for media outlets in Virginia, Maryland and New York where he provided local government coverage. He has also worked for the International City/County Management Association, where he helped manage the Knowledge Network, an online community and information database for local government policymakers. Mr. Johnson has a BA in print journalism from Hofstra University as is currently working towards his master�s in public policy from George Mason University. Stephen Moss Analyst, Health Care & Social Services As an analyst on the State and Local team, Stephen Moss is responsible for creating and maintaining content on the Health Care Opportunities and Vertical Profile databases. He ensures high quality control on these databases, and conducts in-depth research and analysis of the health IT market in conjunction with state and local government markets. Moss also provides support to the Sales and Member Services teams for Deltek member requests, product demonstrations and training sessions. Previously, Moss served as a legislative assistant to three members of the Indiana House of Representatives. In this capacity, he gained great insight into the legislative process, conducted legislative research, and managed the offices of three members simultaneously. Moss also provided professional staff support to the Indiana House Small Business and Economic Development Committee. Prior to joining the full time legislative staff, Moss served as legislative intern to the Indiana Senate majority whip and chairman of the Senate Tax & Fiscal Policy Committee. Prior to that, Moss worked as the Indiana field representative for a national campaign committee. In that capacity, he was the sole staffer responsible for a college get-out-the-vote effort on a congressional campaign. Moss has also held positions as a legislative associate with a state government relations firm and as a summer intern to an Indiana circuit court senior judge. Moss holds a bachelor�s degree in history and politics with honors in senior thesis from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL.
