Get Your Act Together: The AI Act is Coming!

In this webinar, we will start with a general overview of the AI Act, the first horizontal legislation worldwide to regulate the safety of AI-systems, before moving to a few focal points.

We will briefly discuss:

• the scope of application of this new regulation, in particular the extra-territorial effect,
• the key roles in the AI Act
• the classification of the AI systems and the notion of general purpose AI models
• the requirements for a safe AI system and the obligations for providers of such systems
• enforcement, remedies and penalties at EU and national levels

We will then focus on the concrete obligations the AI Act entails for companies intending to use high risk or other AI systems in their organization or in relation to the public and the attention points for their contractual practice.

Finally, we will explore the interaction between the AI Act and the GDPR.
