Dr. Matthys Fourie: Dr. Matthys J. Fourie has over thirty years experience in the design and delivery of instruments, processes and methodologies in the field of critical thinking. He has coached and taught leaders at all levels of organizations. From the boardroom to the factory floor, Dr. Fourie�s high energy, intellect and practical style has challenged and inspired leaders on four continents. He is a published author and the co-designer of The KEPNERandFOURIE Thinking Technology, a range of critical thinking skills that enjoys worldwide distribution. He is the CEO of Thinking Dimensions Global. Dr. Fourie is a hands on leader, having �cut his teeth� in the competitive automotive manufacturing industry with Volkswagen in South Africa. His experience in this demanding business and physical environment taught him first hand the lessons of real-time decision making and the importance of collaborative processes. After 8 years in industry, Dr. Fourie joined the consulting world as a Senior Lead Consultant with Fine Spamer & Associates in Johannesburg, South Africa. He led the training and development division with a specific focus on Root Cause Analysis, Analytical Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Project Management. In 1985, Dr. Fourie began his entrepreneurial journey with the founding of Rational Management Consultants. It began the premi�re management consultancy firm in Southern Africa with over 40 consultants. Dr. Fourie focused his energies on choice, large-scale organization improvement programs as well as continuing his passion for research & development and writing in this field. In 1997, Dr. Fourie formed a partnership with Dr Charles Kepner, co-founder in 1960 of Kepner-Tregoe Inc., in the development of The KEPNERandFOURIE Thinking Technology. This breakthrough innovation in critical thinking is based on the concepts of Convergent and Divergent thinking patterns, recognizes the importance of intuition in the thinking process and has different modes of application driven by different needs � primarily the precious commodity of time. Today, Dr. Fourie divides his time between publishing, research & development and managing the international network of KEPNERandFOURIE Associates through Thinking Dimensions Global. He is a noted public speaker, having made presentations in the US, Europe, Asia and Africa. He still enjoys teaching others the hands-on application of his thinking technology. Dr. Fourie holds a B.Mil (BSc) from The University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town , a BComm and a BComm (Honors) from the University of South Africa and his PhD from the Canbourne University, London,U.K . He is a former Air Force Pilot (Cpt) where he was an Officer Instructor in Management Studies.
