Validation Authority (VA) Advisory Board Meeting

We are happy to announce our next Validation Authority (VA) Advisory Board meeting to be held on Wednesday, July 18th, 2012 in Arlington, VA!

Our former Product Manager for VA, John Thielens, was promoted to Chief Security Officer at Axway, causing the delay in scheduling the upcoming meeting. We are pleased to inform you that Axway’s new Product Manager for VA will be Hristo Todorov and Eli Vapireva is the Program Manager for VA.

Below you will find information related to topics previously discussed as well as additional information related to upcoming releases and activities of the VA suite of products.

• Desktop Validator / Server Validator - CompactCRLs fail OCSP when 0 Serials are recorded was fixed in DV 4.11 SP2, released in June 2011, and in the SV 4.11 SP, which is to be released in May 2012;
• Desktop Validator (DV) Enterprise - Support for MS Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) was released in DV 4.11 SP2, in June 2011;
• VA Repeater has been certified on all Axway appliance models.

Axway will soon start the beta program for VA Server 4.11.2. The beta will give you an advanced view of what is coming as well as an opportunity to provide your input and feedback. Please contact Eli Vapireva ([email protected]) if you would like to participate in this beta program.

Some features planned for the initial VA Server 4.11.2 release include SCVP scaling enhancements, SCVP caching, and Server UI branding. Subsequent releases will address other items such as IPv6 support.

A release of the VA JAVA Toolkit 4.11 with SCVP functionality is scheduled for Q3 of 2012. DV 4.11.2, which includes silent deployment and ADM configuration enhancements, is currently scheduled for release in Q2 of 2012. The VA team is also working on expanding the document set for the VA.

This meeting will include a Roadmap review along with follow up discussions on the remaining action items from the previous meeting.
