FBI HQ Mobile Computing Expo
FBI Quarterly Vendor Day #3: Mobility
Event Description and Understanding Mobility
Small businesses and prime contractors specializing in mobility technologies are invited to share information about their companies and how their solutions may be utilized by the FBI. Mobility refers to the instant interconnectivity between those in the FBI workforce. By allowing mobile, instant communication and access to important information to a workforce, mobility improves productivity through providing the information the moment it is needed.
The FBI uses Blackberries for their mobile communication and would like to have companies that are able to provide: International coverage (i.e. quad band), camera (dual facing to allow for video conferencing over the phone, faster browser and data speed (i.e. 4G/LTE – high-speed data service) and a long battery life for heavy usage. The email requirements are to have the ability to access group calendars, enable HTML display options for emails. In the ‘Requested Technologies’ section below, you will find a detailed description of what the hosting group is hoping to see on this Vendor Day.
