Angela B. Styles is a Partner and the Chair of Crowell & Moring�s Government Contracts Group. Her practice focuses on a broad range of government contracts issues, from complex appropriations and Anti-Deficiency Act issues, to procurement ethics and compliance, mandatory disclosure, procurement integrity, complex internal investigations, corporate compliance reviews, and training programs for in-house legal and executive teams. Prior to joining the firm, Angela served in the federal government as Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy within the Office of Management and Budget at the White House, and in the General Services Administration Public Buildings Service in a Senior Executive Service appointment. In these positions, Angela was responsible for the policies and regulations governing all purchases by the federal government. Angela led presidential initiatives on federal contracting and worked on a wide variety of legal, legislative and policy issues associated with contractor ethics, federal contracts compliance, homeland security, terrorism related indemnification, and labor management relations. She also chaired the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council, the Federal Acquisition Council, and the Cost Accounting Standards Board. Angela has testified about complex government contracting issues at more than 20 hearings before the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. She has testified on numerous occasions before the Senate Armed Services, Senate Government Affairs, House Armed Services, House Veterans� Affairs, House Small Business, and House Government Reform Committees. Angela received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas, and her J.D. from the University of Virginia. Prior to entering law school, Angela worked on Capitol Hill for Chairman Joe Barton (R-Tx) as a legislative aide. Kris D. Meade is a Partner and Co-Chair of Crowell & Moring�s Labor and Employment Group. He counsels and represents government contractors in the full range of employment and traditional labor law matters, including individual and class action lawsuits filed under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, ERISA, and companion state statutes. Kris also counsels and represents employers in connection with affirmative action compliance matters, including the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs� corporate management (or �glass ceiling�) reviews and affirmative action compliance audits. Kris has particular expertise in conducting sophisticated statistical analyses in connection with employment class action litigation, compensation audits conducted by the OFCCP, and self-audits conducted by employers to ensure compliance with federal regulations, Title VII, and the Equal Pay Act. He frequently teams with statisticians who serve as consulting or testifying experts in private litigation or government enforcement actions. He received a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from the University of Michigan, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated with honors from The George Washington University Law School. Mike Gill is a senior policy advisor with Crowell & Moring�s Public Policy Practice Group. Mike advises clients in a wide range of industries on public policy matters, representing them before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies. Prior to joining Crowell, Mike served in a number of leadership roles in Washington-based trade associations. Mike has a broad legislative background having served on the staff of Senator John C. Danforth (R-MO), Representative Paul Gillmor (R-5th District, Ohio), and Representative Jim Greenwood (R-8th District, Pennsylvania). Mike received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton, his master�s degree from The Johns Hopkins University, and his J.D. from the Catholic University of America. Steve McBrady is a Counsel in Crowell & Moring�s Government Contracts Group, based in Washington, D.C. Steve�s practice focuses on a wide range of federal and state procurement matters, contract formation and business risk assessments, compliance counseling, investigations of potential civil and criminal matters, litigation and alternative dispute resolution, as well as counseling contractors regarding major legislative initiatives like the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Steve received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. Steve Rice is an associate in Crowell & Moring�s Government Contracts Group, based in Washington, D.C. His practice involves representation of corporate clients in all phases of the government contracts process, including bid protests, contract claims, and investigations of potential civil and criminal matters. Prior to joining Crowell & Morning, Steve served for four years as an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General�s (�JAG�) Corps. Steve received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.Relevant Government Agencies
