Scale your Red Hat OpenShift Environment with F5 NGINX Ingress Controller

While many organizations consider kubernetes to be the answer to achieving greater agility and unlocking innovation, it doesn’t come without its challenges.

If you’re looking to secure your apps, strengthen your reputation, and scale your business, Red Hat® OpenShift® and NGINX Plus provide a feature-rich platform for container management and enterprise-standard tooling, which helps to improve mission-critical application resilience, performance and reliability.

This hands-on lab session will introduce the foundational aspects of F5 NGINX running on the Red Hat OpenShift platform. Users will gain familiarity with F5 NGINX and the value of a per-application Application Delivery Controller (ADC) within an OpenShift environment. We will also explore how F5 NGINX with Red Hat OpenShift can provide a production-grade deployment. In addition, users will have hands-on experience in the following:

  • Understand how to install and manage the F5 NGINX Ingress Controller operator
  • How to utilize the OpenShift default ingress and F5 NGINX Ingress Controller together
  • How to provide per-app monitoring and load balancing in a cluster environment
  • Advanced app-centric configuration: use role-based access control (RBAC) and self-service to set up security guardrails (not gates)
  • Visibility and performance monitoring: pinpoint undesirable behaviors and performance bottlenecks to simplify troubleshooting and improve time to fix

Join us for this interactive session led by Red Hat solution architect, George James to learn how to improve the reliability and scalability of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
