What to expect: During this workshop, we will take you through two labs to help you understand some of the concepts of deploying and securing container based applications on top of Azure Red Hat OpenShift. In particular, you will:
- Create a project on the Azure Red Hat OpenShift web console.
- Deploy a MongoDB container that uses Azure disks for persistent storage.
- Deploy a Node.js API and front end app from GitHub using Source-To-Image (S2I).
- Expose the web application front end using OpenShift routes.
- Create a network policy to control communication between the different tiers in the application.
- Explore the internals of Kubernetes and OpenShift via a deployed application on Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
