GovForward Emerging Tech Workshop
This event qualifies for * CPEs
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, edge computing, iterative software development, wireless networking, and data management all offer federal agencies an edge in their digital transformations, as well as their abilities to forge better services and address missions. Along with those technologies, however, come many challenges that require constant recalibration of plans and capabilities.
The last two years forced agencies to adapt to extreme workplace changes and illustrated that agencies can readily execute complex, sweeping changes, not only with technologies, but in every day operations. The implementation of such new capabilities, however, showed that agencies also have to consider a host of issues to get the best results.
Implementing edge computing and hybrid cloud solutions, cybersecurity, harnessing AI and ML that speed application introduction, backed by agile software development, are among the tasks agencies face as part of their overall IT modernization plans. Proliferating data and expanding wireless capabilities also challenge and beckon IT managers. The list isn't going to get any shorter and there is no finish line for implementing them.
How can agencies move ahead this year, next year or ten years down the road?
This workshop will help federal IT professionals navigate an ever-more complex technology landscape and move ahead with plans to harness their capabilities now and in the future.
Attendees will come away with a better understanding of:
- Federal efforts to modernize federal IT
- What emerging technologies are top of the list for federal agencies
- How privacy and data security fit
- Adapting mission-driven, holistic approaches to deploying emerging tech
- What are the best practices for acquiring advanced technologies
