Vaccine Mandates and the Government Contractor

On September 9th the President announced his Path Out of the Pandemic: COVID-19 Action Plan. Government contractors will be directly impacted by Executive Order (EO) 14042 issued as a part of that plan. The EO, titled Ensuring Adequate COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, mandates those performing on covered contracts and their subcontractors to require employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued its initial guidance on compliance requirements for EO 14042 on September 24th.
