Building Communities: Constituent Engagement in 2021 and Beyond

After a year marked by a global pandemic and civic unrest, local government leaders are even more focused on connecting and building trust with constituents. New research from the Center for Digital Government shows city and county leaders overwhelmingly believe local government plays a critical role in building a sense of community with residents — and they’re increasingly using digital tools to do so.

On Sept. 16, Government Technology will host a live webcast to unpack these national survey results and explore how they impact future constituent engagement strategies for local governments. You’ll hear:

  • Lessons learned from the pandemic around constituent engagement, including the growing need for integrated, multi-channel engagement options.
  • Practical advice on evaluating new constituent engagement platforms.
  • Important insights on how to improve digital equity as you expand your jurisdiction’s engagement efforts.
