Microsoft Innovative Educator Training: Staff Development Day

The Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) programs recognize global educator visionaries who are using technology to pave the way for their peers for better learning and student outcomes. These are a variety of programs to help both educators who are just beginning this journey, as well as programs for educators who are leaders in innovative education.

Literacy Tools for Inclusive Classrooms 11AM – 12PM (CST)

The Literacy Tools for Inclusive Classrooms course introduces teachers to the Immersive Reader and Dictate tools. This course is designed to help educators learn how to leverage digital literacy tools to support their students’ reading, writing, and fluency development.

Microsoft Teams Course 1: All about Teams 12PM -1PM (CST)

The All About Teams course introduces teachers to the basics of Teams, readying them for collaboration with others and initiating the conversation about instructional use of the platform.
This Teams-related course is for:

Teacher trainers
School site or district administrators
School-based IT specialists, or
Anyone who runs tech-based professional development for teachers

The Let’s share course focuses specifically on teacher-to-teacher communication and collaboration in Teams as a foundation for using the same features with students.

Microsoft Teams Course 2: Let's share 130 PM – 230 PM (CST)

This Teams-related course is for:

Teacher trainers
School site or district administrators
School-based IT specialists, or
Anyone who runs tech-based professional development for teachers

Microsoft Teams Course 3: Working with students 230 PM – 330 PM (CST)

The Working with students course focuses specifically on teacher-to-student communication and organizing instruction within Teams.

School-based IT specialists, or
Anyone who runs tech-based professional development for teachers

Mobile Tools for Inclusive Classrooms 330 PM – 430 PM (CST)

The Mobile Tools for Inclusive Classrooms course introduces teachers to the Microsoft Translator and Office Lens tools. This course is designed to help educators leverage these apps to meet the needs of diverse learners in the classroom.
