With Federal agencies directed by OMB to have one cloud solution in place by December 2011 and up to three by June 2012, cloud-based services are now included in technology plans, and cloud-adoption within the federal government is moving forward.  Those responsible for developing and implementing these solutions continue to struggle with understanding the variety of models available and choosing the best technologies, configurations, service and deployment models -- or appropriate mix of cloud services -- based on an organization's requirements.
