Overcoming Our Infrastructure Deficits: Better Planning with Information Modeling Webcast

Better Planning with
Information Modeling

Date: Wednesday, May 11, 2011
Time: 1:00 PM EDT/10:00 AM PDT
Duration: 60 minutes (including Q&A)

Hosted by CE News, sponsored by Autodesk

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is creating a cultural shift in infrastructure planning and design workflows. Increasingly, geospatial professionals working on transportation, utility, and other infrastructure projects are being asked to integrate BIM models with GIS data to more directly represent the as-built structure and better leverage “GIS ready” design data.

This session will present how design and GIS professionals can take advantage of data aggregation, integration and standards to create more accurate drawings, designs and maps; make better design decisions by evaluating existing conditions more effectively; distribute and exchange information in different ways; and more.
