2018 Healthcare Block-a-thon
This event qualifies for 6 CLPs
Our health agency participants, along with facilitators and government leads, will be assembled to guide the teams working on the use cases specific to an agency. Participants will work to determine applicability and ultimately “pitch” ideas in competition for awards. The pre-vetted use cases are listed below:
- MedTech Innovation – “How might we use blockchain to improve how healthcare products are developed and tested?”
- Regulatory Approval – “How could we use blockchain to ready healthcare products and services for the market?”
- Healthcare Delivery – “How might we use blockchain to improve patient healthcare?”
- Training and Certifications – “How could we use blockchain to improve methods for tracking training, education, and certifications within healthcare?”
The use case sessions will begin by using human-centered design techniques to elicit ideas for the best approach to use cases. With guidance from the Blockchain Playbook, teams will prepare actionable plans that will be presented to the entire group.
This workshop is intended for participants interested in innovations in the health sector with varying blockchain skill levels. Everyone will come away learning more about modern health challenges with a deeper understanding of blockchain. Health agencies will come away with actionable blockchain plans, helping to accelerate their analyses
