DOT Cybersecurity Summit 2018
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Cybersecurity Summit offers two days of training and educational sessions focused on the mission of keeping government personnel informed about the latest cybersecurity advances. Hosted by the DOT Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the summit is open to all federal agencies and will take place at the DOT Headquarters building.
Speakers from across the government (including: DOT, NIST, HHS, OPM) along with prominent industry speakers will share their expertise in topics ranging from Cybersecurity Risks, Management, Innovations and Operations along with other relevant topics. All training sessions have been mapped to the new National initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework’s Specialty Areas. Also, the most common work roles for each of those Specialties has been identified. The sessions can still be enjoyed for cybersecurity and IT personnel not in any of those roles, the mapping is to make it easier to identify which sessions will fulfill specialized training requirements.
The summit will also feature a cyber exposition with industry and government exhibits related to the subjects covered during training sessions.
