Contracting Opportunities: IT Spending on the Rise

President Trump’s 2018 budget request included $95.7 billion for Information Technology, an increase of $1.6 billion from 2017. The Department of Defense received an increase of almost $4 billion, while the Department of Agriculture saw a decrease of $220 million compared to 2017. Which other agencies saw significant changes?

The $95.7 billion includes funding for 4,087 IT investments in four main functions: mission delivery; administrative services and support systems; IT infrastructure, IT security, and IT management; and grants and other transferred funding to non-Federal organizations for IT. As the Trump Administration plans to accelerate IT modernization, what opportunities are available for contractors?

Join Bloomberg Government’s Laura Criste to review IT funding by civilian and defense agencies, cybersecurity funding and BGOV tools for tracking the budget.
