Disaster Management Showcase & Conference
IDGA’s Disaster Management
Prepare. Respond. Recover.
In the event of a terrorist attack, natural disaster, or other large-scale emergency, the Department of Homeland Security along with Department of Defense and federal agency counterparts are designed to provide a coordinated, comprehensive federal response and mount a swift and effective recovery effort.
In 2010, the federal government has taken the lead in shifting the focus of our emergency management system over the past four years away from all-hazard preparedness and toward a more specific emphasis on homeland security.
IDGA’s Disaster Management Showcase & Conference provides the latest information on defense & federal government programs by focusing on the acquisition priorities and gaps in the following major specific areas:
- Communication plans with easily understandable terminology and methods.
- Proper maintenance and training of emergency services, including mass human resources such as community emergency response teams.
- Development and exercise of emergency population warning methods combined with emergency shelters and evacuation plans.
- Stockpiling, inventory, and maintain disaster supplies and equipment
Benefits Include:
- Work with like-minded military and commercial Disaster Management experts toward common interfaces
- Establish more connections in two days than you can all year.
- Work with leaders in the military and government to develop a cohesive roadmap that will benefit all branches and organizations moving forward on disaster management.
