WEBINAR: What You Don�t Know (About GovCon Codes and Contracts) Can Hurt You!
During this session, Guy Timberlake of The American Small Business Coalition looks at contracting and procurement terminology seen and heard daily by contractors of every size, discipline, agency alignment and geography. Specifically, Guy discusses how not understanding the meaning and use of classifications, awards and indefinite delivery vehicle types by Government agencies, can and will increase the level of effort required to find contracting opportunities, delay the discovery of viable opportunities and decrease the odds of winning those opportunities when they are found.
Participants will be provided a copy of the slide presentation and substantive insights and knowledge that will better prepare them for future encounters with agency codes, awards and indefinite delivery vehicle types in marketing, business development, capture and proposal activities.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is the federal agency that charters, regulates, and supervises national banks and federal savings associations. The OCC’s mission is to ensure these institutions operate in a safe and sound manner, provide fair access to financial services, treat customers fairly, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. The OCC is hosting Guy Timberlake of The American Small Business Coalition, and providing this webinar as part of the OCC Office of Minority and Women Inclusion’s technical assistance to minority- and women-owned businesses.
