Privileged User & Insider Threat 2016 Ponemon Survey Findings

Join us to learn the latest findings from the “Insecurity of Privileged Users” study, comparing data sets from 2011 and 2014 with present day. Although headlines featuring insider leaks and attacks continue to multiply, this study of more than 600 commercial and 142 federal IT operations and security managers found that 58 percent believe their organizations are unnecessarily assigning access to individuals that go beyond their role or responsibilities. With more than 40 percent of respondents agreeing that malicious insiders would use social engineering to obtain privileged user access rights – up 20 percent from 2011 data - it is no surprise that 91 percent concluded that the insider threat will continue to grow or stay the same.

This webcast will provide attendees with:

  • The latest Ponemon findings on just how big this problem is within the Federal Government,
  • Outline who has a privileged user problem, use cases – IT sabotage, fraud, financial gain, etc.,
  • Share best practices to combat this growing challenge, to make sure you’re prepared if that call you’re afraid of is coming from inside the house.
