Usa 2016 webinar on Avoiding Pitfalls With Spray Foam Insulation
Overview:
The use of spray polyurethane foam insulation in building construction has increased dramatically over the past decade because of its superior insulating qualities, performance and ability to provide all four barrier needed to effectively separate the interior environment form the exterior environment.
As expected, problems have arisen due to improper installation equipment and techniques, a lack of understanding of the properties of the material and improper detailing. We will address these issues as well as show how spray foam provides the most effective means to comply with the 2012 and 2015 IECC insulation requirements.
Why Should You Attend:
As with any material that is manufactured on a construction site there are potentials for failure of the product. Spray foam insulation is one of those products. When installed correctly, it is the most effective insulation available in the world today. It can also be an air barrier, water barrier and vapor barrier based on its location and detailing.
