Defense Acquisition Reform: Ensuring Technological Superiority for the 21st Century
House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry has kicked off a second round of Congressional acquisition reform with the release of the “Acquisition Agility Act,” which seeks to provide the Department of Defense greater ‘agility’ for major acquisition programs. This event will provide a greater understanding of the impacts of this effort on the Department’s requirements generation, budgeting, and acquisition processes, and decipher what this means for the Department, the defense industry, and nontraditional defense contractors.
