Bridging The Great Minority Cybersecurity Divide
Cybersecurity has been identified as one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation. Sadly however, there is global underrepresentation of women and other historically underrepresented minority groups (African Americans and Hispanics) in the fast-growing discipline of cybersecurity in the United States of America.
"Grassroot Efforts” to increase the number of minority students pursuing cybersecurity degrees are as critical as mentoring programs for existing practitioners.

Mr. Devon Bryan is Founder & President of ICMCP and is currently the Vice President, Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at ADP. As VP Global CISO, Devon is responsible for working across the organization’s geographically dispersed businesses operations and executive teams to drive coordination, consensus and execution to mitigate emerging cyber and financial risk issues impacting ADP’s products and services globally. As a former US Air Force (USAF) military officer, a former member of the Federal Government’s Senior Executive Services (SES) and as a current information security executive at a Fortune 500 organization, Devon has first-hand insights into the global underrepresentation of minorities in the fast-growing discipline of cyber security. Devon launched ICMCP in an attempt to bridge this ‘great minority cyber divide’ by providing academic scholarships, innovative outreach, mentoring and networking programs targeting minority cyber security professionals worldwide and by promoting academic and technical excellence in our tradecraft.
