Farrell joined Dominion in 1995 and has served as an officer of Dominion and many of its subsidiaries. He was executive vice president of Dominion from 1999 to 2003 and president and chief operating officer from January 2004 to December 2005. In January 2006, Farrell was named president and chief executive officer of Dominion and was elected chairman of Dominion's board in April 2007.
