AMERICA ON THE MOVE: INVESTING IN U.S. INFRASTRUCTURE

To remain competitive in a rapidly changing global economy, renewing investment in American infrastructure is crucial. In the first decades of the 21st century, our global economic competitors have led the way in planning and building the transportation, power and trade networks of the future.

To modernize America’s aging infrastructure, the President has proposed the GROW AMERICA Act, a six-year funding bill that would increase investment in transportation and support  millions of American jobs repairing and modernizing our infrastructure through one-time revenues from business tax reform.

Further, the President’s Infrastructure Finance Working Group released an action plan, the Build America Investment Initiative, setting a course for American infrastructure investments for the century ahead.

Topics will include:

  • Reauthorization of the multi-year transportation bill and the sustainability of the Highway Trust Fund
  • Recommendations put forth by the President’s Infrastructure Finance Working Group
  • The challenges and solutions to infrastructure investment at the state, local and federal levels of government
  • Funding solutions powering the modernization of American transportation and the role of public-private partnerships in making that future a reality
