International Port Security

This year's 6th annual International Port Security conference, hosted by SMi, will convene in London on 3rd and 4th June. With the current threats and tragedies occurring in the Mediterranean, never has such a conference been so current and relevant. With continued illegal migration into the EU through sea borders there is a need for the maritime security community to collaborate and further strengthen relations in order to boost security.

There will be a range of topics discussed at the conference in June; these include international port security case studies, policy and strategy as well as presentations from coasts guard who are actively involved in day to day security. This will ensure delegates are up-to-date with high priority information that enables you to best secure your seaports, economies and means of trade. Ultimately, this event aims to bring together International speakers from European nations and to discuss the real life processes and issues which effect everyday port security, both in terms of practicality and in terms of strategy.

SMi's 6th annual International Port Security conference will bring many benefits to those delegates in attendance. Delegates will:

  • Complimentary Site Visit to the Port of Dover
  • Obtain a greater understanding of real-life port security
  • Understand the practical issues ports face on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with fellow experts to expand their knowledge and thus further secure their ports
  • Preview the latest technology and how it is being implemented in Ports to both maximise efficiency and increase security
  • Gain an insight into the organised crime and understand how Ports around the globe are combatting this
