The Center for Digital Education is hosting a Market Briefing event in Houston, TX and we hope you can join us.

IT leaders from some of the largest districts in the Houston area will be on hand for a special briefing on their technology plans, priorities and focus for the coming years. The Houston Independent School District (HISD) is the seventh largest district in the U.S. and the largest district in the state of Texas, with more than 198,000 students. HISD believes that technology is an enabler of quality instruction and is committed to initiating innovative services that facilitate learning. Klein Independent School District serves over 49,000 students. Klein ISD’s goal is to enhance teaching and learning through the use of technology. Cypress-Fairbanks ISD has a long history of implementing technology so that students and teachers can be served by technical innovation. Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is working to improve technology use, as well as continue to provide leadership and support for teachers in the area of technology use. Fort Bend ISD hopes to integrate technology into all aspects of district activity – instructional, professional development, leadership, support and data reporting. Cypress-Fairbanks is committed to providing a technology infrastructure that becomes more seamless with each passing year.

The participants will be briefing the audience on district plans in a variety of topic areas, including computing infrastructure, mobile devices, digital content and curriculum, professional development, cyber security and their plans to incorporate blended learning models.

This event will allow participants to:
•    Hear directly from CIOs and technology leaders from area school districts
•    Network with fellow industry leaders in the region
•    Learn about the hot issues in the education IT market
