Social Security Administration Authentication Day
The Office of Open Government, under the Chief Information Officer, is hosting an “Authentication Day” on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010.
They hope to raise the awareness of fellow Social Security Administration (SSA) components as to the importance and necessity of remote authentication for the growing number of general public members who want to do business with SSA via the Internet or automated telephone systems. They intend to educate attendees on what SSA is currently doing to authenticate SSA users, and what they plan to do in the future. The sessions and exhibition will be held in the same room to maximize participation.
Speakers from government and industry will highlight authentication best practices and successful techniques. Interested speakers should contact Liz Hood at [email protected].
All SSA components are invited – Systems, Policy, Operations, Electronic Services, Telephone Services, Communication, Privacy, Disclosure, and General Law.
The Social Security Administration continues to be a leader in the innovative use of technology to serve the public. They continue to pursue partnerships with government and business in an effort to provide, strong, secure, robust authentication for their users.
